It is a sophisticated city where colonial influenced architecture is set beside spectacular high-rise buildings. There are open air markets, bazaars, and shops to be enjoyed. There are also mosques, temples and gothic cathedrals to be explored.
Head further north on the coast of Trinidad and leave the noise of the city behind. Here you can go hiking in the untouched interior peaks of the island or visit the serene beaches. Nature lovers may also want to head east where coconut groves and preserved wetlands can be found. Go south and you’ll discover quiet beaches near some of the best fishing villages around. This rectangular island appears to have something to fit all taste and lifestyles.
