San Francisco Flights - A short guide.

It is no doubt one of the most unique cities anywhere in the world. The city of San Francisco is not only continuously voted one of the best places to live in America; it is also adored for its breathtaking beauty. The history of this city is not only rich but colorful as well.

The scenery is easy yet dramatic; it is a city with a lot of electricity though it still feels laid back and comfortable. It is the birthplace of gay pride and hippie culture. San Francisco is a city where ‘free love’ still reigns supreme. The culture of this eclectic city supports individual creativity and spiritual liberty.

The streets wind up and down the city’s hilly terrain, and on a day when the city isn’t blanketed in fog, drivers can catch glimpses of the magnificent views of the surrounding bay. More than one bridge provides access to the city, but is probably the famous Golden Gate Bridge that gets the most attention.

San Francisco: the place where you can visit the infamous Alcatraz, take a trip over to Sausalito for shopping, or hop a sail boat for a more personal view of the bay (which is the biggest inlet on the coast of California).

Although the city is packed tight, there are several different popular neighborhoods which offer their own energy and flair. Today San Francisco is just as diverse as the communities of people it used to attract back in the 1840s when folks came looking for gold.

The city is still filled with cultural enclaves like Chinatown, Japantown, Mission District, and North Beach that are must see areas for anyone planning a trip to San Francisco. There’s also the famous Haight Ashbury area, which still holds the heartbeat of the American Hippie.
