Head further inland and you'll come to the highlands. Drive through the many villages surrounded by splendid orchids and banana plantations. While the entire island offers points of interest, many tourists find themselves drawn to the beaches of Maspalomas or Playa del Inglés. Here you can spend a relaxed day dragging your feet through the miles of soft, warm sand.
